Adeola Awofiranye

I joined RPI in Fall 2018 to pursue my doctoral studies in the Department of Biological Sciences. My research is co-advised by Prof. Robert J. Linhardt and Prof M. Koffas. My research is centered on the metabolic engineering of chondroitin sulfate using E. coli. I received my bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in spring of 2018 from Houston Baptist University. Prior to joining the lab, I worked on cell cycle commitment in yeast and circadian rhythm in immune cells. Outside of lab, I enjoy swimming, cooking and travelling.
